​As life moved on, I slowly learned to shrink parts of myself to meet expectations, something many of us recognise in hindsight, and it wasn’t until I became a mother that something shifted. I began to notice how many children, including my own at times, struggled to believe in themselves. I recognised that look in their eyes because I had once felt it too.

In my search for something more grounded and meaningful, I returned to a simple truth that had stayed with me since childhood: the thoughts we practise often become the world we experience.

I realised how powerful it is when children are given language for their feelings early on. When they understand that kindness is strength, imagination is useful, and their thoughts are not something to fear but something they can gently guide.

 

That is why I write stories that are a safe place to explore big ideas. Children relax into them. They laugh, they listen, and without even realising it, they begin to absorb messages that shape how they move through friendships, challenges and everyday moments.

Each of my books carries a gentle thread beneath the surface, offering steady reminders that children are capable, thoughtful and growing every single day.
