Are you looking to encourage children’s awareness of the world around them?

Do you promote a growth mindset from the early years?

Would you like to find books that teach a positive mindset along with aspirational thinking?

My experience of the transformational power of positivity and its place in supporting children’s social and emotional mental health has inspired me to write books that model positivity and help them to move from a fixed mindset to one of growth and optimism, to improve their wellbeing and ambitions.

“The story itself is a wonderful way to express patience and a positive attitude, and good things will come your way!”

Emma Jayne Cook, Blogger

My picture books provide a great springboard for wider discussions around the PSHE curriculum but also align well with learning objectives in English (e.g. letter writing in Meeting Pip), topics (e.g. travel and transport in Franco and the Green Light Fairy) as well as encouraging children of all ages to let their imaginations run free. Meeting Pip works particularly well outside and can be a great hook for forest-school activities (and hot chocolate).

“It would act as a super stimulus [for forest school]. The children could go on their own hunt looking for clues that Pip may have left.”

Sarah Ewart, Deputy Head Teacher

I grew up in the idyllic, peaceful, and secluded Saline countryside. My childhood was full of freedom and adventure, which inspired the characters and themes in my books, and through which I encourage children to enjoy everything around them and always look for the best in life.

“We were surprised by how engaged the oldest children were during the reading.  Perhaps magic lives on in them too!”

Sarah Ewart, Deputy Head Teacher
