Inspiring Children’s Workshops & Author Visits in Schools, Libraries, and Bookshops
Interactive storytelling sessions that spark imagination, build confidence, and nurture positive thinking.
I run engaging workshops and speaking events for children in schools, libraries, and bookshops, designed to inspire confidence, creativity, and connection. Through fun storytelling, hands-on activities, and uplifting discussions, children learn how to dream big, build lasting friendships, and work together as a team. My sessions also explore wellbeing and mindset, helping young people reframe negative thoughts and embrace a more positive outlook. Each workshop is tailored to the age group and setting, creating a memorable experience that encourages every child to believe in themselves and their unique potential.
Dreaming Big Workshop
For Early Years — Inspiring Creativity, Confidence, and a Growth Mindset
My Dreaming Big Workshop is a fun and interactive session for children aged 3–5, perfect for schools, nurseries, libraries, and community groups. Through storytelling, role-play, and creative drawing, children are encouraged to use their imagination, set exciting goals, and believe in themselves. With movement games and positive affirmations, the workshop introduces the principles of a growth mindset — showing little ones that mistakes are part of learning and that anything is possible when they keep trying. Each session leaves children smiling, inspired, and ready to dream big about their future.

Using my book Mousey Mornings alongside interactive games, crafts, and group challenges, children learn the importance of helping each other, sharing ideas, and working as a team. Activities like the “Helping Hands Mural” and team tower-building encourage cooperation, kindness, and positive communication. Every session leaves children with practical lessons in empathy and teamwork, while sparking joy, creativity, and stronger friendships.

Mindset Workshop
Mindset & Perseverance Workshops for Ages 7–10.
Turning Challenges Into Green Lights.
My Mindset Workshop, inspired by Franco and the Green Light Fairy, is designed for children aged 7–10 and is perfect for schools, libraries, and community groups. Through interactive storytelling, games, and creative activities, children learn how to reframe challenges, build resilience, and spot the “green lights” that help them keep going. Each session encourages positive thinking, perseverance, and problem-solving in a fun and memorable way. By the end, children leave with practical tools and affirmations that remind them they can try again, move forward, and believe in themselves.

All workshops can be adjusted to suit your requirements, so please contact me if you are interested in a specific workshop for a certain class or age-range,

'It encouraged the children to start thinking about their dreams. Children discussed their dreams with their classmates and loved sharing at the end.'
[Leslie Primary School, Fife]

'Absolutely! The whole workshop was valuable. We have previously discussed growth mindset in class but his session definitely helped to reinforce that anything is possible and helped the children think about dreaming big.'
[Markinch Primary School, Fife]

'For our youngest children, they were really excited about hearing a story. The focus was more on the magical and imaginative aspects. Yes. I would recommend your workshop to other schools.'
[Carnock Primary School, Fife]

Imagination is the superpower that makes everything possible.

"This is a wonderful resource that educators will find really useful. It’s clear you’ve put a lot of thought and care into it. Your resource is going to be invaluable for a) helping kids first become aware of what’s happening in their life and how they feel about it, and then b) supporting them to figure out how they can help themselves (and identify and ask others for help) when they find things tough or tricky. That is SO important."
