If you are a tooth fairy, what did you use my tooth for? (Amy)
I am a tooth fairy, and the big tooth you knocked out with your toothbrush, I cleaned it very well and I drink my hot chocolate from it before bed every night. It is a perfect size. Pip.
What is your favourite animal? (Ben)
I love all animals, but my favourite are squirrels, because they are so full of fun! Pip.

Meet Faith
Age: 7
Traits: Brave, imaginative, determined, kind.
Faith is the kind of child who can’t help but believe. Where others see an ordinary oak tree, she feels the hum of something ancient and magical. She’s curious and creative — always building, crafting, and dreaming up new ways to prove that fairies are real. Although she may always want to be right and might be quick to argue with her little brother, she also loves him dearly, drawing him into her world of wonder.
Faith doesn’t like 'impossible' — she believes that with enough heart and imagination, anything can be proven true.
Why children love her: She’s brave enough to say 'I believe,' even when others laugh.
Why parents connect with her: She reflects the determination and sensitivity of a child who wants to hold onto magic while learning how to trust her own instincts.
Meet Harris
Age: Nearly 5
Traits: Cheeky, cautious, loyal, secretly hopeful.
Harris is Faith’s little brother, full of energy and wild ideas. Although he hides his belief in fairies behind a wrinkled nose and a loud 'fairies are silly!' He wants to be brave, but he also fears being laughed at for believing in things unseen. His imagination is strong, often doodling castles or spaceships, and though he sometimes grumbles, he always joins in. Slowly, Harris learns that being open to wonder doesn’t make him a baby — it makes him braver than he ever realised.
Why children love him: He is nervous about trying or believing in new things and then shows it’s okay to change your mind and do them anyway.
Why parents connect with him: Harris embodies the quiet struggle children face between wanting to belong and wanting to believe, and the joy that comes when they let their imagination win.
Meet Pip
Age: 162 (but timeless in spirit)
Traits: Gentle, wise, playful, reserved.
Pip is a fairy of the old oak tree. The keeper of magic. She collects children’s teeth at night, rests by day, and writes letters when she meets kindred spirits brave enough to believe. Pip doesn’t appear all at once; she reveals herself slowly, only with those she trusts and who listen closely. She has a mischievous twinkle but a nurturing heart, guiding Faith and Harris with warmth and encouragement. She once knew their Granny long ago, and her letters weave past and present together, reminding the children that believing can awaken whole worlds.
Why children love her: Pip makes them feel seen. She notices the small things, their games, their kindness. She writes back. She makes magic feel real.

News from The Fairy Woods
A New Bench Has Appeared
There's been lots of hammering coming from one of the other trees this week. A new fairy bench has appeared by the brook that is big enough for four.
Nobody seems to know who built it.
Missing: One Tiny Sock
A very small yellow sock disappeared from a washing line near Pip's tree this week. A squirrel was spotted nearby, although he is refusing to answer any questions.
Midge Mayhem!
The midges have been swarming around the brook this summer where it is nice and sheltered.

Who Ate the Cake?
A tiny raspberry cake was left to cool beside an open window on Tuesday morning.
By lunchtime, half of it had disappeared.
There were no witnesses, although one squirrel was later seen with pink icing on his nose.
