Saying Thank you

The most difficult thing as a parent is to watch your child suffer, and when my little girl was 18 months old, she was taken by ambulance to Ninewells Hospital in Dundee, wired up to machines & oxygen, and was kept in for a couple of days. An incredibly stressful and worrying time.

The staff in Ward 29 were amazing and we are forever grateful for making it as comfortable as possible. Fast forward 8 years, my daughter is thankfully super healthy.

The theme woven through my first children's book, published earlier this year, speaks of positive thinking, and how to use the Law of Attraction to benefit your life. Paraphrasing Rhonda Byrne, (author of The Secret); "If you ask for everything you want, that's all you'll ever get" and what a way to live. It takes practice and dedication, but the more you become in tune with positive thoughts and become aware of what you're thinking, the more wonderful things will happen. Franco discovers this in my book 'Franco and The Green Light Fairy' when he finds that with some positive thinking, magic really can happen.

As an author, like many others, the most enjoyable and rewarding part is to have my story read by children and to make a difference. Therefore, on Friday last week, I was delighted to donate several copies of Franco and The Green Light Fairy to the Play Centre of Ward 29 who will kindly distribute them throughout the ward to children who perhaps need a little magic in their lives right now.
