I hope you have enjoyed the illustration process over the past weeks and watching Faith and Harris develop together.
Here is a sneak peak of them as siblings. Fully themselves.
Faith, age 7, is brave, determined, and kind. She is the type of child who can't help but believe in magic. Curious, creative, and ready to show that anything is possible.
Harris, age 5, is cheeky, cautious, loyal, and secretly hopeful. He is full of energy and imagination; wanting to be brave, but it takes time for him to realise that he has to trust his instincts.
Seeing Faith and Harris together in their final form felt like everything settling into place. The balance between them, as well as the contrast of almost all siblings. The quiet way their personalities sit side by side, each bringing something the other needs.
...This is where the story truly begins.
Because this chapter book was never just about one of them, it’s about what happens when belief and doubt stand next to each other and choose to keep going anyway. It is about when imagination meets hesitation, and one voice says, 'what if it’s real?' And the other says, 'what if it isn’t?'
Somewhere in that space, when they trust each other and themselves, something magical has room to grow.
We’re getting closer now. Closer to the moment where their world opens fully, and you get to step into it with them. I can’t wait to share that with you, but if you’d like to hear their news before anyone else, and be part of Faith and Harris’s journey as they grow, with more of their world still to be revealed before their autumn release, I share little glimpses and gentle updates through my newsletter:
