There is something absolutely magical when, all of a sudden, your day falls into place and you have time to close the door with a cup of tea, turn on the laptop and sit down to write.
Today is one of those days! The children are occupied in one form or another, the housework is done and for a Saturday afternoon, I have no taxi-ing to various children's events or activities.
For Mums (and Dads) who write, this is the most wondrous feeling - albeit slightly unnerving sometimes as it feels like I've forgotten to do something!
So here I am on a beautiful sunny Scottish weekend, ready to launch into writing the final chapter of my new book.
