Two Sides of the Same Story

If you have been following the blog journey so far of Faith and Harris, you might understand my excitement just a little bit (!) at finally seeing them both together.

Even in these early, black and white sketches, by the wonderfully talented Oshadi Sandareka, you can feel it. The difference between them, and the connection that quietly holds them in place. Just like most siblings... like chalk and cheese, yet joined by something unseen.

Faith stands with a sense of knowing, as older siblings do, whilst Harris stands with a sense of wondering and mischieveousness.

Somewhere between the two of them, the story begins, where letters appear, a small window glows, and the woods begin to feel full of quiet wonder. As Faith and Harris learn to care for something magical, they discover that believing is not about being brave or clever, it is about being kind, curious, and ready to notice the smallest things. Sometimes, that is when magic finds you first.

Siblings bring a kind of magic all of their own. Not always easy or calm, but honest and full of moments where they challenge each other, protect each other, and slowly shape the way the other sees the world.

Faith pulls Harris forward. Harris grounds Faith just enough to keep things real. I think that’s what I love most about them.

This isn’t just a story about believing. It’s a story about learning how belief grows differently, for each of us.

If you’d like to be part of Faith and Harris's journey as they grow, and to find out more of their world before their autumn release, I share little glimpses and gentle updates through my newsletter:
